Google Fit
To connect Google Fit as your steps provider for Walk15, please follow the steps below.
Important: This method is only suitable for Android phones.
First, make sure that you have the Health Connect and Google Fit apps installed on your phone. Important: only Android 14 versions and below do not have the Health Connect app installed. If you have Android 14 or later version, you don't need to download Health Connect.
- Install the Health Connect app on your phone (skip this step if you ar using Android 14 or later version) Open the Google Play Store and download the free Health Connect app from there.
- Install the Google Fit app on your phone Open the Google Play Store and download the free Google Fit app from there. Once done, open the Google Fit app and create your account.
Next, connect the apps and give necessary permissions according to these instructions:
1. Open Google Fit settings
Click on 'Profile' tab and then on Settings icon in the top right corner:

2. Enable "Sync Fit with Health Connect"
Find the setting "Sync Fit with Health Connect" and click to enable it:

3. Sync Google Fit with Health Connect
Press "Set Up" button to sync your Google Fit data with Health Connect:

4. Give permission to connect Health Connect to Google Fit
Check "Allow All" and then click the "Allow" button:

Finally, Set Health Connect as your steps provider in the Walk15 app:
1. Open Settings in Walk15
Tap the ‘Profile’ tab in the Walk15 app, then click the gear icon in the top corner to open 'Settings':

2. Select Step provider
In the 'Settings' menu, scroll until you find an option labeled 'General settings'. Under this section, tap on 'Steps provider':

3. Choose Health Connect as Your Steps Provider
In the Steps provider options, choose 'Health Connect' from the list:

4. Allow Walk15 access to Health connect
Confirm by clicking "Share data with #walk15". You’ll be redirected to the Google login page. If you have multiple email accounts, be sure to select the one associated with your Google Fit:

5. Make sure permissions for Walk15 to access your Google Fit data are granted.
Toggle "Allow all" to grant the necessary permissions:

6. Check if It Works
Return to the Walk15 app to check if your data from Google Fit is now visible. The sync might take a few minutes, so if the data isn't immediately updated, wait a little while and check again.
